Korea Republic Women’s National U-16 Football Team which was successful to be qualified for the U-17 Women’s World Cup Finals after eight years ended the game as a second place winner.
South Korea Women’s National U-16 Football Team led by Coach Hur Jungjae was defeated by North Korea 0-2 in the ‘2017 Asia Football Confederation U-16 Women’s Championship’ finals which was held at Chonburi Stadium in Thailand on September 23. South Korea, however, won a victory with a penalty shoot-out in the semi-final against Japan and was successful to get qualified for the finals of the ‘2018 Uruguay FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.’ Teams up to ranking 3 is qualified for the U-17 Women’s World Cup.
South Korea tried to bring a successful conclusion against North Korea, the strongest player of women’s football but unfortunately failed to win. However, the team recorded the best score excluding the victory gained in 2009. South Korea won a victory in the U-17 Women’s World Cup in 2010 but since then the team continuously failed to get qualified for the World Cup finals three times. Being qualified for the World Cup after eight years is the best outcome.....
