During the Korean Dynasty, it formulated the spirit of Sonbae (honorific title given to scholars) specific to Daegu as the center of Confucian academic culture. |
Daegu World Cup Stadium was built based on the image of the Earth encompassing all the world's people under one roof; the exterior appearance is adapted to Mt. Daeduk in the south, and is consistent and in harmony with the natural landscape. The stadium roof incorporates a traditional Korean roof design with beautiful curves, covering 74% of the spectators. The teflon (PTFE) coated roofing allows natural light to permeate creating a wonderful atmosphere. In consideration for use post World Cup, the interior incorporates a temporary, light-weight partition to create passage ways, to efficiently guide spectators during peak times (may be set up within 7 min.). |
