Designed after the traditional bamboo foldable fans, the 4 large columns supporting the roof of the stadium resembles the sotte column which stood at the entrance of the village. The cables that connect the steel structure is symbolic of the traditional 12 stringed-instrument of Korea, kayakeum, expressing its role as a center of sound. |
